Hair Loss

"An article found in "Alternatives", October 1999 Issue about Alopecia (sudden loss of body hair in a particular area - could be the whole body, could be just the head, could be parts of the head, etc.).
The application of certain Essential Oils appears to help the hair grow back. The study consisted of 84 men and women. It was a double blind study with a control group where no one used essential oils and a group that did use essentials oils. Using a mixture of Jojoba and Grapeseed oil, 2 parts of Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme), 2 parts of Cedrus Atlantica (Atlas Cedarwood), 3 parts of Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary), 3 parts of Lavandula Augustrifolia (Lavender).
One group was told to massage the oils into the scalp for two minutes. Then wrap the head with a warm towel. The other group just used Jojoba oil and Grapeseed oil with no Essential Oils. Within 7 months, 44% of the 43 persons using Essential Oils exhibited significant hair growth. In the group using only carrier oils only 15% had significant hair growth."

"Hi, Just wanted to let you know that using four Essential Oils is changing my receding hair line. Every night, or every other for the past month, my wife has been massaging lavender, cedarwood, thyme and rosemary with jojoba oil and grapeseed oil into my scalp before bedtime. Within the first week, I noticed little traces of new hair growth near my receding hair line. Now, there is new hair that is starting to grow close to where the receding started. More hair is growing back close to the receding part and a few have sprung up where the hair line started. The article that we got this hair growth recipe from said it takes about 7 months before the hair is grown back, but it varies with the individual. Also, my thinning hair on top of my head is becoming thicker. I have a 'before' picture and will take an 'after' picture taken when 7 months is up.
The recipe is: two drops cedarwood oil, three drops lavender oil, three drops rosemary, two drops thyme, one-half teaspoon jojoba oil, four teaspoons grapeseed oil
mix all together in a small but wide glass. Pour a small amount in palm of hand and have someone directly apply to balding area. Massage for about 2-5 minutes Cover up glass with seran wrap to use rest later You only have to use a little bit - unless you're completely bald! The mix lasts for about 5 treatments.
You may share my secret with others - its so easy and he who hesitates to have a head massage before bedtime is a fool - try it guys or gals - it works!"
